Why the lawyer need some information from your wife ? ( she no need to apply any thing , since your GC is approved ).
I think best way to tralk to HR dept in your wifes company and explain them. that you will get GC soon. If they need some proof show them approval email .
If they ask to fill i9 form show the EAD as proof for employment eligibility.
New company lawer is not accepting EAD, even though we don't have written approval confiramtion
How to conivince him to use EAD unti we got the phisical card?

I filed my application on July27th. I completed my FP on Oct 10th but haven't receive any news on EAD. My online status is still "Case received and Pending". It is mentioned on the USCIS website that the USCIS needs to provide EAD within 90 days of the filing as mandated by law [8 CFR 247a.13(d)].

I took a new job and transferred my H1B with new employer. But my GC process is with the same old employer and his attorney. Do I now have to file AC21 ? I changed my job with new responsibilities.
It is your choice if you want to invoke AC21 or not. A lot of people (like me) do not inform USCIS and change job after 180 day of filing 485 and wait to either get GC or to get an RFE.
Some people dont want RFE at the time when PD is current for them and hence send out letter to USCIS about job change invoking AC21.
There is no right or wrong thing and one choses what he/she feels good about + whatever attorney suggests. You can decide for yourself what you want to do.

my receipt date was sometime in the first week of december (can't remember exact date). got approval notice last week after an RFE. RFE was for last 8 months paystubs. received approval within 2 weeks of responding to RFE.

sent to USCIS Texas on June 29, received on JUly 2nd at 10:25 AM. no receipts and no checks cashed yet. the USCIS receipting notice Texas said that they have finished receipting July 2 appl. what happened to our appl then?
pls anyone who filed july 2 at texas and with the same info who got their cks cashed and receipts rec, kindly share here. tnx!

Hello everyone,
Here is my status..someone please clarify as my immigration attorney has different answers each time
1) I am on H1B status and recently transfered to a new H1B Employer and i got query last week.
2) My Husband is holding a L1B Visa and its valid till Nov 2011.
3) Can i apply for L2 now(without COS) while waiting for H1B Approval?? This will allow me to change to L2 if something happens to H1.
4) If i have my H1B approval i wish to stay and work on H1B.if not i will be moving to L2(leave the country and comeback ??)
Please post your prompt answers.

Recently I heard about RFE on medicals for some of my friends. All of them who got RFE on medicals, entered US using AP.
Do you had any travel outside US and used AP to enter?
I used AP in Feb 2008 when we went to Australia. But my wife did use her H1b to enter.

I called (First time in last 4 months) to TSC using POJ method to check how they are trying to process cases. I know it was a futile attempt but wanted to try my luck regardless.
Guess what? When you can't get through right away (which is never) you get put on hold in queue. Instead of background music you would get with any other wait in queue system - the message kept repeating every second - "Your estimated wait time is between 10-15 minutes"...
It annoyed the heck out of me and I hung up rather than hearing the message over and over again.
Since I have not called in past few months, I do not know if this is how it always worked or is this a recent change. As far as I recall, they did have background music which made it a little bearable to wait 10 minutes.
