I have never heard about this before, but if I were you I would:
1. Immediately request transcripts from college in sealed envelope, exactly as requested.
2. I dont think sending notarized copies will work, because notaries normally dont attest document, owner of the document does that and they just say that it is your signature. As per my understanding you will need to send the originals as requested. But with it you can safely send a letter asking them to send the documents back. Include a prepaid fedex envelop.
Worst case, they will loose these documents but you can get them reissued from university. But if you dont send documents as requested your application could be denied.

hey! why it is like that?? last month, feb 15 08, the processing date was July 31, 2007 and how come now updated mar. 15 and the processing date became june 08, 2007??? WHY?? my friend got her gc already, hers date was july 19...she got her gc!!so wats up with that!!Do you think they will send mine (july 22)?im so upset!pls reply soon!

The reality is there will not be another immigration bill this year if CIR does not make it. And calling CIR the "amnesty bill" means some of us may have started pandering to and unfortunately have fallen for the anti-immigrationists propaganda trap. That is fine if one thinks its okay to wait for another two years while a new congress settles in and for key immigration bills to come to the floor. However "cutting and running" is what we do when out of fear of association we fail to stand up and speak up and explain our motivating cause which is the plight of legal law abiding immigrants who contribute legally to this country. In my own personal opinion this is an excellent opportunity that can put IV in the spot light and distinguish IV for standing up for highly skilled immigrants. This requires good orational and communication skills so that one is not misquoted. If it takes wearing a t-shirt saying "Support Legal Immigrants" then so be it, but lets not cut and run on the basis of someone elses propaganda. If IV opts out then let it be because we could not find someone who could clearly get our unique message and goals out. Thanks to randallemery for bringing this opportunity to IV's attention and I hope the IV core will respond appropriately as this needs to be a well coordinated effort. When people fully understand the humanitarian reasons why legal immigrants need relief through CIR they tend to be more compassionate and supportive. However if we sit and twiddle our thumbs because of what Lou Dobbs says then we are doing exactly what these anti-immigrationists want us to do. The primary victory of Rep Chris Cannon (R) in Utah ought to be a shot in the arm for those fighting for CIR. Instead of cutting and running he supported CIR, the anti-immigrationist opponents attacked CIR and in the end they still lost. Rep Cannon had the opportunity of being associated with the alleged "amnesty" bill but he stood up bravely to be counted as a CIR supporter and prevailed in the end.

Just for updating everyone, I got my stamping done successfully at Tijuana. They give the passport next day as expected, so just make sure to make the arrangement for the night. It's pretty cool for H-1B people both for full-time plus contractors, albeit for contractors they sometimes will call/e-mail your employer to verify. It will usually happen in a day or two and they'll issue the visa then. Let me know if anyone wants any particular details on Tijuana/H-1B stamping there.

if you are foreign national selling a house, 10 % of your sale price may be held in escrow account till you pay the taxes. This is the case in atleast some states. This is what your real estate lawyer might be referring to. The rest 10 % is released after you have shown proof that you have paid your taxes.

I applied mine on 11th of May, 2007.. EB3 India..
Got RFE on 4th of December, replied the same week, they got it on 27th of December. Online status says "Processing has resumed..!!!"
In RFE.. they asked for last year's W2 and my current paystub.
Still waiting..

I think he mentioned 2005 fee as the fee for I-485 in 2005 (old fee structure). Not the check date of 2005. Let him clarify.
Just wondering, a 2005 check is a very valid check. A check with future date is not valid for cashing immediatly. This may be invalid if the lawyer didnt had the account in 2005.

Did you already applied for H1 extention and got RFE or you are just assuming you might get RFE. I recently applied extention for another 3 years and got it successfully. Our AOS is also pending. So dont worry. Anyway it is you choice to use EAD and extend every year.

yes, employer just needs to show that new job is similar to your old job. Its just simply a letter which an employer can(may choose not to as its not mandatory by law but advised to do so) send to USCIS.
For EB2 classification you dont need to do anything, your emplyer need to show that job needs Masters or equivalent and it meets prevailing market salary requirements. So you can just ask them if this position meets EB2 requirements and if they will be wiling to do EB2 filing for you in addition to AC21 (or H1 transer)

I am trying to book an appointment for h1b visa stamping at the Chennai Us consulate for Nov 29th but I see no dates available for Nov 2010 for Chennai.
Ony calcutta dates are available.
Can I book an emergency appointment in this situation?
I have been on h1 for the past 3 years.First came to US in 2004.Visa expired in 2006.
Extended h1b here in USA..Now going to India for the first time after visa expiry.
Also, for the stamping, should i carry all old LCA's or just the latest one?
