This is my current status
I am on H1 B visa and currently working in the US. My visa expires in July, 2011.
I was sent to the US on a long term onsite assignment from the company I was working in bangalore, India. I am asked to come back to India in June 2010.
What are the implications of me quitting thecurrent job once I go back to India? Is my H1 B visa still valid?
In case if I go back to India and move to a different company, do I have to go through everything starting from filing the H1 petition to get the H1 visa?

You can do anything, using EAD or H1B if you have one, prior to getting your GC, as long as when you are nearing your GC, your GC sponsor or some other employer, is prepared to confirm that job same/similar to what is in LC, is available for you.

What is the best way to save one from going out of status on E-3 visa?Can a E-3 Visa holder or E-3D visa holder may apply and successfully get EB-3 or EB-2 green card?Can E-3 visa holder may work for two employers (already USCIS approved extension petition from both) simultaneously (without filling any new I-129 or extension request)?
The place of birth for E-3 Visa holder is Pakistan.

I am not sure if it was posted before, the immigrant visa fee will go up to $400 from $380 effective January 1, 2008.
Also, Bombay and Madras consulates switched to NVC appointment processing (NVC takes over the scheduling of immigrant visa appointments). Delhi and Calcutta are still standard processing posts, but expect them to be converted in the near future as well.
Chinese, Japanese, Australian and some other (mostly Asian) consulates still follow standard processing, but expect them to be converted in 2008 as well.
They convert consulates without any notice to the public, so always check here before sending in DS-230 and supporting documents:

How funny is this? My PERM was filed for Tech lead position and I am getting enquiries for PM position and I can not take it whereas you are trying togo in reverse direction. Anyways... you can not come in reverse direction now. The SOC code for Tech Lead is '"15-1031 Software Applications Engineer" which is definitely different than Computer Systems Manager and I believe logically management stream is altogether different than technical stream. Be very careful and refer to attorney at law before you make the decision.

I currently hold H4 visa. I got H1 approval (consular) this year. Now instead of applying by consular process (in London), I want to join my spouse on H4 and then apply for COS from within USA.
1. Can I do this?
2. If Yes, how? Which form do I have to fill ? Kindly detail the procedure with applicable costs.
3. When I later, travel outside US, do I then have to have H1 visa stamped in my passport?
4. If Yes, does this 1st visa have to be from home country or could be from Canada etc.?
P.S. I do not have any educational or work background in USA.

Like he said, our little acts when combined become a formidable act and can accomplish a lot. I would suggest others make contributions too - especially now when everyone is excited - before you get back to the usual reticent state. let us not try to ride piggyback on some else's efforts.

I just made my first contribution of $100 to IV.
Gandhi once said "Make your contribution, however insignificant you think it is. In reality, your contribution makes a huge difference".

Have we taken in to account these action items
1) Improve Overall GC Process time.
2) Re-use all unused visa's that went in vain in past
3) Count each family as one visa instead of each for each family member.
And What do we need to do as a member of IV to lobby these changes.
