My 802.11b card transmits its MAC address on a broadcast when its on. My phone transmits its SIM card number.I think you are agreeing with their point, that our devices identify us and are not hard to track, while taking issue with their choice of example. Is that right?

This app is a good thing IMO.
The majority of the time I really don't want to call customer service.
The app makes reporting a lot easier, let's just hope that they look at the data and try to fix the black spots...

It was good to meet you all. However brief. Sorry I had to run off to meet with my Sister and her bf (they wanted to leave :rolleyes: :( yeah). Thanks again to v (er, Ani) for showing me how to get there, I was kinda lost.

This happens year after year. The day of the keynote (and sometimes days/weeks afterward) always sees enormous demand for the stream but they never allocate enough to handle it. You think that they would have figured it out by now, and they better pretty damn quick if they expect to stream movie rentals - reliably that is.
I have a 3 megabit DSL connection and this is what I'm getting. They get an F. Pathetic.
Agreed. The streaming gets pathetic with every event. I have an 8MB broadband and the streaming feels more a 24KB stream. Still yet to get past intro before lock ups i guess i'll try later in 6 months.

Oh - I do have a problem with immigration policies too - and I'm not very happy about illegal immigrants either, so don't get me wrong on that, CalBoy. But that is not the immigrants' fault - legal or illegal. It's the politicians' fault, and the EU plays a major role in this (in their backroom-deals with Saudi officials, for instance). I think I mentioned something about the politicians as well in an earlier post, where I stated that they are far worse than the illegal immigrants - I can't really see why this is a "focus on the immigrants".
I personally think you went too far Calboy by calling me and torb racist and xenophobia, after one post. You have no idea how we live life. I'm certainly not scared of other culture's, the fact I work with 85% foreign people. I'm a manager at a large 4 star hotel. Me disliking illegal immigrants (when they come legal because of "human rights") in my country is nothing to do with being racist, even if you saw it like that. We're struggling as it is here in England, yet we spend millions housing illegal immigrants, and paying for their every needs. I know I did say I wouldn't reply, but I really don't feel comfortable being accused of being a racist. Also torb is right, the EU pretty much control us now.

Hopefully it'll fail hard and GM will be forced to design a proper EV and not just another hybrid.
the problem is EV only cars have a very limited range and can not handle long distance traveling. On top of that it takes a long time to bring their charge back up.
Plug in hybrid like the Volt solve that problem by providing another fuel source for longer traveling and for times when it can not be charged. The batteries in the volt are 40 mile range. Well with in most people's daily distance. It would of been nice to see it up to 60-70 miles and I hope in the future they kick it to 100 miles range but we still need a hybrid power source.

The iPhone 3GS can only be downgraded if you had saved a 'security blob' (think of it a digital fingerprint of your device and its OS) from it before you upgraded it 4.x.
I'd only like to go to 4.2.x as it was perfect then. Appears I can't as I didn't save that blob thingy.

I've been waiting 3 weeks to buy a MBP assuming at least that iLife 07 would be announced today. Yet iLife 06 is still in the apple store..ARGH. Absolutely no computer announcements. This is extremely frustrating.

While that's true, why hasn't this been done long ago? I hate to say this but XP has always? had that? :confused:
If you have Icon Preview turned on in Finder now, then that's essentially what XP gives you. Thumbnails of standard image files (jpeg, png, gif, etc..) and that's pretty much it. With the live icon preview in Leopard (as well as Vista's Live Icons), you actually get to see the word document, text or PDF file, web link, etc.. as it really exists as the icon. It's just another way of conveying more information to the user at the expense of more system overhead. :D

If you're referring to the Brooklyn Bridge, you can't sell it. It's MINE.:p My great-great-great-great grandpappy brought it off some chap name George Parker. I also own Ulysses S Grant's Tomb if anyone is interested in taking it off my hands. Yep, G5-pappy brought it off Parker as well.:D:D:D
And the US still incarcerates more people that China.

Building a better instant selection isn't solely up to Apple. Apple would need to negotiate rights & prices from the studios for streaming content. A big reason why Netflix's instant movie library is a little gimpy surely has to do with keeping the subscription rates competitive. Apple is not just going to be able to immediately offer the "coolest & best" new content in a streaming format without charging a premium for it (as demanded by the studios).
