My guess is that iMovie 07 will have "green screen" effects like the ichat in leopard. If that is the case then it might need to wait for Leopard to be released.

No doubt ONLY iTunes-purchased tunes and ONLY in the US. Then when it becomes more than half-assed in version 2, a few more European countries will get in. Then Japan in about 3 years time.

I completely agree with Tomorrow on this, but I'll take it a step further. If someone is as stupid as this woman seems, they don't deserve to be in the gene pool. I'm currently downloading this using HiDownload. Its going at about 7k/s though (I'm not sure if it's kilobits or bytes - I think bytes). I have just over 7MB downloaded. It's going to take a while. I believe that this is 350kb/s, and the video is 1 hour and 25 minutes, which is 5100 seconds. That means 1,785,000 kilobits, or 218MB.
BTW - I've never used HiDownload before so I'm not sure how it will turn out. If I do get it successfully downloaded, I will make a torrent of it and also put it up on Youtube.

There are two programs that crash on my Mac on a regular basis. 1-outlook 2-excel and I'm not going to even mention the missing calendar syncing...
For me this release of Office ranks very close to the Vista blunder.

Agreed. We would gladly pay $300 a license to upgrade each of our current FCP seats to 64bit and not have to interrupt our pipeline.

Apple is not microsoft or avid and not so much into supporting the status quo - I imagine you know that. So perhaps you should just lick your wounds and file this under "to be expected." Or perhaps Final Cut X will surprise you by fitting better than you thought into your existing pipeline and return to you, in a short time, the amount of money you have to invest to implement it.

80GB External drives are being sold for 30-40$ at most. I�m sure they can offer it next to the 10 DVDs package or something that�s offered for Final Cut for 40$ more. Far easier and faster to install from an external drive than 10 DVDs. A lot of huge packages are starting to come in the external drives instead of 10 DVDs.
Yeah, but those DVDs will be around fifteen years from now when, presumably, you still want to use the software you dropped $1200 on. Show me a hard drive that will do such a thing, and you've got me sold. Until then, especially for professional apps costing significant sums, DVDs are going to be the standard.

Speaking of tablets, Amazon.com now has the Kindle for $25 less if you opt for the sponsored screen savers. Basically ads appear in the screen saver and you get the kindle for $25 less. It is noted on Amazon's homepage.

You are not comparing like with like. The comparable model to a Mac Pro is the Dell Precision T5500 and specced up the Dell is about $1,000 more than the Mac Pro. :p

Anyone else think it's a fake? I don't see how the front facing camera could possibly follow his head _way_ off to the side the way it does... but I could be wrong (don't have an iPad2 to see how wide angle the lens is)
Not fake. This has been demonstrated on the Wii and the DS. Very simple to do actually.
